“writing and reading decrease our sense of isolation. we are given a shot at dancing with, or at least clapping along with, the absurdity of life, instead of being squashed by it over and over again. it's like singing on a boat during a terrible storm at sea. you can't stop the raging storm, but singing can change the hearts and spirits of the people who are together on that ship.”

Model Mormon

"Belonging is being somehwere you want to be, and they want you. Fitting in is being somewhere where you want to be, but they don't care one way or another." -Brene Brown

When Mary wept at the feet of the Savior, mourning Lazaru's death, how did Christ react? Did he say, 'stop being drmatic. I would fix it if you would just calm down and listen to me"?
Jon 11:35: Jesus wept.

Surely if God wants me to be a model, he wants me to be famous.

"One of the most shocking findings of my work was the idea tat the most compassionate people I have interviewed over the last thirteen years were also the absolutely most boundaried... Boundary is simply what's okay and what's not okay. What i think we do is we don't set boundaries. We let people do things that are not okay or get away with bheaivors that are not okay, and then we're just resentful and hateful. Me? I'd rather be loving an dgenerous and very straight forward with what's ok and what's not okay." - Brene Brown

Samuel M Brown, First Principles and Ordinances. "we tend to like things to be the same for every person." --analogy of high and low blood pressure to grace v work. Different interventions for different situations.

I considered myself faithful when I ended relationships when I discovered that they were actually complex humans with stories more complicated than what I thought were supposed to fill the pages of good, faithful priesthood holders' tales.
